Under the Hawkes Bay sun, nestled between vineyards and apple orchards you will find a handcraft brewery and cidery.
From small beginnings Hawkes Bay Independent Brewery (HBIB) has been steadily developing a range of traditional beers and ciders from their modern plant sitting on eight acres of a cider apple orchard.
Hawkes Bay Independent Brewery is a purposely built brewery designed with the latest technology required to produce premium quality beers and ciders.
The brewery comprises of three full time multiskilled brewers and cider makers that are always testing the boundaries of taste.
Hawkes Bay Independant Brewery's Range of Beers:
Amber Ale - A rich malt body with mild hop characteristic adds complex fruitiness and a pronounced bitterness to this deep amber ale. Batch brewed using traditional methods and cold filtered to give a smooth, crisp finish.
Pilsner - Brewed using traditional Czech pilsner methods. Fruit and spicy hop characters are dominant, with a mild malt backdrop and a crisp, clean finish. A lengthened maturation process also adds complexity.
Black Duck Porter - Bold flavours of toffee, burnt caramel, coffee and chocolate characterise this dark ale. Brewed with five malts in 18th Century London Style, it has an extended maturation process to develop complex and robust flavours.
Pure Brewed Lager - All natural ingredients create a pure brewed lager. No added sugars, just water, malted barley, hops and yeast. Cold filtered with an extended maturation period for a smooth and refreshing finish.
